Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government's needs, to: Grifols Diagnostic Solutions, Inc. 4560 Horton Street Emeryville. CA 94608-2916 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325413; the business size standard is 1,250 employees. The objective of this sole source award is to procure Procleix Babesia Assay kits for USPACOM ASBBC-owned Procleix Panther systems at US Naval Hospital Okinawa. Grifols Diagnostic Solutions, Inc. is the sole proprietor of the Procleix Babesia Assay kits, for which the use of other consumables may cause malfunction or inaccurate results. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement.
