Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Thermo Fisher Scientific The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Sole Source firm-fixed price contract to Thermo Fisher Scientific, 1400 N Point Pkwy Ste 10, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-1976 in accordance with FAR part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this acquisition is to procure a Unity essential support plan for LC-MS equipment for a base year and four (4) one (1) year options. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the sole source manufacturer of the Thermo Microanalysis instrument and software. These instruments use a technologically advanced method to analyze and to identify unknown samples. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the only company certified to provide support, maintenance and upgrade services to ensure that the instrumentation, sampling accessories and software will continue to perform according to original manufacturing specifications. The NAICS code is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that an award will be issued to Thermo Fisher Scientific, within approximately fifteen (15) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement.
