The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), has a requirement to upgrade the R2TD Active Seismic Imaging (ASI) System. The ERDC intends to issue an award to the University of Kansas Center for Research on a sole source basis. It has been determined that the Kansas Geological Survey, located at the University of Kansas Center for Research, is the only source capable of providing the required software upgrades, hardware replacement, and retrofitting of current systems for the R2TD Active Seismic Imaging (ASI) System. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541715 (Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) with a size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
