Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE WITH LIFE TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION FOR SERVICE CONTRACT TWO (2) ABI 7500 REAL-TIME PCR SYSTEMS AND ONE (1) ABI 7000 SEQUENCE DETECTION SYSTEM. The USDA, ARS intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price Performance Based Service Contract under the Authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(2) and FAR 13.106(b)(i), "Soliciting from a single source" based upon only one responsible source capable of meeting the Government's requirement with Life Technologies Corporation (formerly Applied Biosystems ) for a Firm, Fixed Price, Performance Based Service Maintenance contract (Base - one (1) year plus four (4) one-year option periods). All Option years are pending availablity of funds. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. No solicitation is available. However, all inquiries received within 5 days after date of publication of the Limited Sources Justification will be considered by the Government. Information may be emailed to the Contracting Officer at lisa.botella@ars.usda.gov. A determination by the Government not to complete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any resulting procurement would be conducting in accordance with FAR Part 13 and 37. An award notice for Life Technologies Corporation will be posted on the FBO in the near future.
