The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plans to award a firm-fixed price contract to Internet Video and Imaging, Inc. for the procurement of thirty-five View Commander-Edge 2500 Version 9 technology recorders. These devices are essential for the FDA's ongoing efforts to investigate suspected criminal violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), the Federal Anti-Tampering Act, and other relevant statutes. The technology recorders will support law enforcement operations aimed at combating the illicit trafficking of FDA-regulated products across the United States and aid in collecting evidence for prosecutive actions. Internet Video and Imaging, Inc. offers unique capabilities and holds all proprietary rights to the product, which is not available from any other vendor. This acquisition is conducted under a sole-source authority, allowing the government to negotiate exclusively with Internet Video and Imaging, Inc., but the FDA remains open to receiving capability statements from other vendors who believe they can supply equivalent equipment. The delivery date for the products is anticipated to be July 1, 2019. Interested parties were invited to submit their interest and supporting documentation, although this notice is not a formal solicitation and no request for proposal was issued. Communication about this procurement is directed solely through the designated contract specialist, Erika Crawford, via email, with no phone or fax inquiries accepted.
