NOTICE ONLY* 2026-2027 M7B Snow Removal Services Bristol District

The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for on-call emergency snow and ice control services within the Bristol District for the 2026-2027 season. This indefinite quantity contract requires bidders to provide firm unit pricing for various equipment, including 4WD pickup trucks, single-axle dump or flatbed trucks, and 4WD farm tractors, as well as qualified CDL and non-CDL operators. All proposals must be submitted through the Plow4va vendor portal, and bidders must be registered in eVA to be considered. SWaM-certified contractors are granted priority status in the call-in process. Key performance milestones include equipment inspection and approval by September 25, 2026, and the installation of operational Automatic Vehicle Location units by October 23, 2026. Contractors must be able to report to designated staging locations within two hours of notification. Compensation includes hourly operational rates, a 50 percent standby rate, a 2,000 dollar equipment and training bonus, and a minimum guaranteed payment. Invoices must be processed through the Hired Equipment Time Tracking System within five days of notification and will be paid on a 30-day term. All VDOT equipment must be returned by April 23, 2027.
