Z--CARL-REPAIR EQUIPMENT STORAGE SHED

The National Park Service is soliciting firm-fixed price quotes for the repair and rehabilitation of a non-conditioned, wood-framed storage shed at the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site in Flat Rock, North Carolina. This effort, designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 237990 with a $45 million size standard, requires offerors to be active in the System for Award Management and self-certified as a small business. The contract involves comprehensive structural repairs triggered by damage from Hurricane Helene, including replacement of 4,500 square feet of asphalt shingles and underlayment, 150 linear feet of gutters with guards, repair or replacement of roof decking, flashing, and drip edge, and reconstruction of exterior walls with T1-11 and cedar tongue-and-groove siding. The scope further includes installing three new sectional steel doors with trolley operators and photo eye systems, repairing electrical conduit and outlets, and delivering detailed submittals such as product data, waste management and quality control plans, and construction wage determinations. Performance is expected to begin within 10 days of notice to proceed and complete within 180 days, with a period of performance spanning from July 8, 2026, to January 7, 2027.
