Request SOW and estimate to upgrade the fire alarm systems in buildings SC-1, SC-4 and SC-401. The fire alarm panel in SC-1 (Normandy Hall) was installed in 2011 and lacks functionality and life safety features recommended for our current and future building load. This project would upgrade the panel to allow the annunciator to be used for emergency announcements and for better identification and notification to the fire department of incidents that may occur in the building, as well as advanced notification to the occupants of any safety impacts affecting the space. NDU/JFSC mission is to deliver congressionally mandated JPME. Building SC-1 houses the main seminar classrooms, breakout rooms, SCIF, and classified environment that are utilized to deliver this curriculum as required. The current fire alarm system lacks modern code requirements and life safety features necessary for our current school population of staff, faculty, and students. Required completion date is 30 September 2025. The fire alarm system as currently deployed is lacking modern notification and alert features and impacts JFSC/NDU's ability to properly alert instructors, staff, guest speakers, and any member of the faculty and student population with life/safety concerns and negatively impact our mission parameters in terms of the delivery of our congressionally mandated curriculum to our customers. The fire alarm panel in SC-4 (Okinawa Hall) is a hybrid unit that covers both addressable and zone of detectors. Most smoke detectors in the building are original to the 1999 construction and should be replaced for life cycle purposes. The panel and fire pump are also well past their normal life cycle functionality and are in need of replacement before their imminent failure negatively impacts the required usage of the space for JFSC/NDU personnel.
