The scope of work for this project is the replacement of the existing sprinkler manifold in Bay #5 and provide a new double check backflow preventer. The new manifold shall include a backflow preventer test connection. Work to include the replacement of the existing Drop-hammer deluge valve for Bay #5 and all the existing sprinklers in Bay #5. The work shall include the inspection and testing of the existing sprinkler piping for acceptable condition. The Contractor shall verify all field conditions necessary for the completion of this project. Bid Options have been provide for extending sprinkler protection to unprotected areas in both Bays #5 & #6, the replacement of existing sprinklers in Bay #6 and providing a single FDC for both riser manifolds.
