Nursing Home for Complex Care Behaviors

The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, in collaboration with the Department of Social Services, is seeking a clinically qualified provider to establish nursing home level of care for individuals who are challenging to place. This initiative specifically targets individuals transitioning from correctional facilities, those with criminal justice involvement, or those moving from higher levels of care provided by the agency. The selected provider must demonstrate established connections to local behavioral health and corrections services and the ability to operate effectively across multiple systems. The final contract will aim to provide 45 beds for individuals who meet the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review requirements for nursing facility level of care. This solicitation, identified as DMHAS/DSS-Nursing, was posted on July 30, 2026, with a response deadline of September 23, 2026. The project will be performed within the state of Connecticut.
