AI Contract Overview
The contract calls for the procurement of two plain hexagon nuts, part number 5310-01-666-0890, with a delivery requirement of 20 days from the award date. The items must be packaged and labeled in accordance with ASTM D3951 and MIL-STD-129, adhering to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) packaging standards and specific quality requirements outlined in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Inspection and acceptance will occur at the destination, and shipping is to be expedited by the fastest traceable means, with parcel post prohibited. The delivery location is Fort Riley, Kansas, specifically to the Army National Guard MATES unit at Camp Funston. Quality assurance for the contract stipulates adherence to MIL-STD-1916 or comparable zero-based sampling plans, with critical, major, and minor attributes assigned specific verification levels and acceptance quality limits. The contract references ASME B18.2.2 for the nuts' basic non-government standard. Removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies, packaging requirements, and physical marking standards are mandated. The solicitation was issued under the Department of Defense's ASC Commodities Division with a response deadline at the end of March 2026, and all technical and quality requirements integrated into this contract take precedence over ASTM standards where applicable.
