AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE4A6-27-Q-0205 is a fixed-price request for quotations issued by the DLA Weapons Support ASC Commodities Division for the procurement of self-locking double hexagon nuts (NSN 5310-01-093-2471). The requirement consists of two primary line items for 1,206.340 boxes each, with a delivery schedule of 400 days after award for the nuts. This is a Navy Identified Critical Safety Item (CSI) that must adhere to Technical Data Package Rev B Gen 2, reference drawing NR 78286 SS5086 Revision 18, and specific quality assurance plans. The procurement is not a small business set-aside, and the government will determine the best value based on a comparative assessment of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors, with SPRS assessments weighted most heavily. The contract imposes stringent quality and compliance requirements, including source inspection and acceptance, and adherence to MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging and MIL-STD-129 for marking. Due to the nature of the technical data, the item is subject to ITAR or EAR export controls, requiring contractors to have approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program certification. Additionally, the contract mandates CMMC Level 2 certification and compliance with the Buy American and Balance of Payments Program. Invoicing and receiving reports must be processed electronically through the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system. Quotations are due by November 16, 2026, to the issuing office in Richmond, Virginia.
