NWA IAMS RANGE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

The Navfac Mid-Atlantic is seeking a design and cost estimate for drainage and surface improvements to firing cells at the NWA IAMS Range in Norfolk. The project involves installing paved surfaces of concrete or asphalt for Cell 2 and Cell 4, each measuring approximately 14,900 square feet with a thickness of 3 inches. The design must incorporate sloping toward the left and right of the cells to ensure proper drainage off the firing lines, which will enhance operational safety, instruction capabilities, and the accuracy of firing line markings. This requirement is categorized as a forecast with a phased timeline, specifying that the design phase is slated for fiscal year 2025 and execution is planned for fiscal year 2026. Funding for the project will be provided by the CNIC.
