The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract to GE Intelligent Platforms Embedded Systems, Inc., 12090 South Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35803. These media converters were specifically built by GE for NAVSEA, and have been validated to Navy specifications. This is an end of life buy due to obsolence of parts contained within the media converters, and GE is currently in possession of the obsolete components necessary to manufacturer these converters. These media converters will be used within the Navy's Airborne Mine Neutralization Systems (AMNS) and no other converters can be used. This buy is for 120 converters, including shipping and warranty.
