Description of goods to services to be bid: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to invite external stakeholders to comment on the strategy, potential structure of NYSERDA’s next solicitation for Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Certificates (ORECs). New York is developing transmission solutions to optimize integration of offshore wind with the terrestrial grid, including the current New York Independent Service Operator (NYISO)’s New York City offshore wind Public Policy Transmission Need (NYC PPTN) procurement. Building on this initiative to develop ocean-to-shore transmission solutions, NYSERDA seeks stakeholder feedback regarding NYSERDA’s how to maximize the value of the PPTN and deal with risk mitigation issues in NYSERDA’s next OREC solicitation.
