Ofland Hotel Twentynine Palms

The Ofland Hotel project, managed by the City of Twentynine Palms, involves the development of a hotel complex located at the southeast corner of SR 62 and Lear Avenue in San Bernardino County, California. The project scope includes the construction of a 100-unit hotel and 25 employee housing units, which may be developed in two phases. Planned amenities feature two lodges, pools, spas, recreational areas, playgrounds, and food and beverage services. The development will occupy approximately 42 acres designated as a Tourist Commercial zone, while the remaining 110 acres of the total 152-acre site will be assigned an Open Space Conservation designation to preserve the land in perpetuity. The project has received key regulatory approvals, including City Council approval on July 22, 2025, and final approval by the City of Twentynine Palms on September 9, 2025. This process included the certification of Development Code Amendment DCA25-000004 and Rezoning REZ36-000001. Environmental reviews conducted under CEQA resulted in a Negative Declaration, determining that the project will not have a significant environmental effect. Administrative oversight is led by Community Development Director Keith Gardner for the City of Twentynine Palms and Luke Searcy, Director of Development for Ofland.
