Project elements include the reallocation of road space for the addition of a bi-directional Class IV bike lane, traffic signal modifications, neighborhood traffic circles, speed humps, ADA Compliant curb ramps, and additional modifications identified in Attachment A Project Narrative. Proposed improvements will achieve calmer neighborhood streets, reduced vehicle speeds, and increased safety for all modes of travel. I. Project Description The proposed project consists of street safety improvements approximately 2.1 miles in length within Council Districts 5 and 11 along Ohio Avenue between Westwood Boulevard and Westgate Avenue, Westgate Avenue between Ohio Avenue and Rochester Avenue, Rochester Avenue between Westgate Avenue and Saltair Avenue, Saltair Avenue between Rochester Avenue and Texas Avenue, and Texas Avenue between Rochester Avenue and Centinela Avenue.
