The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Providing temporary weather protection of the affected parapets and associated roof areas for this occupied building; Removal of the existing roof system a distance of two feet back from the parapet walls at the periphery of the second floor, sixthfloor and penthouse roof levels; Removal of the interior face of the parapet walls;Providing supplemental angle/bent plate reinforcements at the base of the existing cold-formed metal stud framed parapet walls; and Restoration of the interior exposed face of the reinforced parapet walls and of the impacted roof areas. In performing this work, we believe our best course of action will be to contract with the Contractor, who originally installed the roof, to preserve the roofing warranty. Further, the original roofing contractor is familiar with the construction of the roofing system, thebuilding, and the facility.
