On-Call Asphalt Construction Services

The Carmichael Water District is soliciting bids for on-call asphalt construction services to support the repair, maintenance, and replacement of water distribution lines on public roads in Carmichael, California. The scope of work includes various trench and patch paving, the raising and lowering of main line valve boxes, slurry and fog seals, and thermoplastic striping. All assigned projects must be completed within 30 days of receipt and must adhere to the standards of the District and the County of Sacramento. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, with evaluations based on price, financial resources, technical organization, and evidence of experience with work of a comparable magnitude. Qualified bidders must hold a Class A contractor license and be registered for public works under California Labor Code Section 1725.5. The contractor is required to comply with prevailing wage laws, maintain an Injury and Illness Prevention Program, and provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including five million dollars in Commercial General Liability and one million dollars in Automobile Liability. Bids must be submitted in a sealed format to the District office by 2:00 p.m. on September 9, 2026. Payment for services is processed monthly, with undisputed requests paid within 45 days following review and approval by the District Engineer.
