The City of Pasadena Public Works Engineering Division seeks qualified firms to provide on-call structural engineering services for maintenance and capital improvement projects involving City-owned buildings and infrastructure. Proposers shall demonstrate at least five years of experience providing structural engineering services of comparable nature, size, and complexity. The City may award separate five-year agreements to qualified firms. Compensation under each agreement shall not exceed $1,000,000. No minimum amount of work or compensation is guaranteed. For each assignment, the City may select the on-call consultant it determines is best suited based on relevant expertise, proposed personnel, availability, past performance, schedule, assignment complexity, and the ability to negotiate a fair and reasonable fee. Each assignment shall be authorized through a written Task Order establishing the scope, staffing, deliverables, schedule, and not-to-exceed fee. No work may begin without written authorization from the City. If the City and the initially selected consultant cannot agree on the terms of a Task Order, the City may negotiate with another on-call consultant.
