ON-CALL WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITY REPAIR SERVICES

The City of Jersey Village intends to establish a contractual relationship with one or more qualified contractors capable of responding safely and efficiently to utility infrastructure needs. This contract is intended to supplement City forces and provide additional resources when workload, emergency conditions, specialized equipment, or project needs exceed available City resources. The selected contractor shall provide emergency responses, scheduled repairs, maintenance support, and miscellaneous utility construction services as requested by the City. City Utility System Overview The City of Jersey Village encompasses approximately 3.3 square miles . The City's water distribution system consists of approximately 47 miles of waterlines , ranging from 2-inch to 16-inch in diameter , and approximately 450 fire hydrants . Based on available infrastructure records, approximately: 50,000 linear feet of waterlines date to the 1970s . 48,000 linear feet of waterlines date to the 1980s . 19,000 linear feet are identified as multi-year infrastructure consisting of asbestos-cement (A/C) and PVC pipe . The City's wastewater collection system consists of approximately 192,000 linear feet of gravity sanitary sewer lines , ranging from 6-inch to 36-inch in diameter , and approximately 795 manholes . Based on available infrastructure records, approximately: 101,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer lines date to the 1970s . 25,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer lines date to the 1980s . 1,100 linear feet are identified as multi-year infrastructure consisting of asbestos-cement (A/C), clay, PVC, and concrete piping .
