CITY OF BATAVIANOTICE TO BIDDERSONE BATAVIA CITY CENTREROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECTSealed bids for the project entitled, One Batavia City Centre - Roof Replacement Project, at the City ofBatavia, New York will be received by the City Clerk’s Office, City of Batavia, City Hall at One CityCentre, Batavia, New York at or before 10:00 a.m. local time on September 25th, 2025 at which timethey will be publicly opened and read aloud.All Bids shall be made on the forms furnished and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “CITYOF BATAVIA – ONE BATAVIA CITY CENTRE - ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT” and directedto the City of Batavia.Plans and specifications may be obtained or examined at the City Clerk’s Office at the City of Bataviabetween the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm daily except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.A contractor walk through is scheduled for September 15th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the site.The Contract Documents may be obtained only from the City of Batavia City Clerk’s Office, City Hall,One Batavia City Centre, Batavia, New York 14020 upon deposit of the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) perset. Payment shall be in the form of two (2) checks, each for one-half of the total deposit ($25.00 each).Checks shall be payable to the City of Batavia. One half of the full amount of deposit for one set ofContract Documents will be refunded to any Bidder who has duly submitted a Bid accompanied by thebid security required by this advertisement and who returns the Contract Documents complete and ingood condition within thirty (30) days following the Award of Contract or the rejection of bids. If onlyone check for the full deposit amount is submitted, no amount of the deposit will be refunded. The fullamount of deposit for one set of Contract Documents will be refunded to the Successful Bidder upon theexecution of the Contract Documents.Upon request, the Contract Documents will be mailed after the City Clerk’s Office has received thedocument fee plus a separate non-refundable mailing and handling charge of twenty-five dollars($25.00) per set. The Contract Documents will be mailed, and the mailing date will be considered theBidder’s date of receipt. Checks for mailing and handling charges shall be made payable to the City ofBatavia.The City of Batavia is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State ofNew York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the City of Bataviapursuant to this Contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and hisSubcontractors of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the City of Batavia pursuant to thisContract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building, or other realproperty form part of the Project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.Proposals shall be made and received upon the following conditions:Each bid must be accompanied by the deposit of cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in anamount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form provided, and subject to theconditions provided in the Information for Bidders.The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in anamount equal to 100 percent (100%) of the total Contract award amount.Each Bidder’s attention is called to the General Municipal Law, which requires a Bidder’s Certificate ofNon-Collusion.
