NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD The U.S. Food & Drug Administration intends to award a sole source to Traction Software, Incorporated as an open market small business award for enhancements to Traction Team Page Software, It is customizing the back end code of Traction Team Page to include (1) Traction Team Page Advanced Search and (2) Social Web. Traction Software Incorporated is the sole vendor for Team Page and Team Page Advanced Search. Traction Team Page is a commercial off the shelf trademarked, patented product. No other vendor will have access to the back end code required to deliver these enhanced capabilities required. The ability to merge network shares and existing Traction content and file share search results into the existing results screen is the required capability and will require configuration of the back end code. Again only Traction Software Inc has access to this back end code. Traction Software is used throughout all FDA Centers and Offices. Therefore users are already familiar with Traction Search tool and the search result capabilities. Acquiring these enhancements to existing software is cost effective to the government verses purchasing a new tool. The period of performance is one year. The NAICS code is 511210. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation document Is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give notification to the Contract Specialist by 12:00pm September 2, 2011. Interested firms may furnish supporting evidence with sufficient detail to demonstrate its ability to comply with the requirement described above.
