Operation, Management, and Maintenance Services of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)

Lee County Port Authority is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive operation, management, and maintenance services for the baggage handling systems at Southwest Florida International Airport, including two outbound common-use automated in-line baggage handling systems and inbound flat-plate and slope plate carousel bag claim devices. The successful proposer will be responsible for supplying all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, telecommunications devices, consumables, parts management, training, supervision, and warranty administration required to ensure continuous, reliable, and safe baggage handling operations. The scope encompasses full lifecycle support with emphasis on system performance, uptime, and adherence to industry standards under the Authority’s operational requirements. Proposals must be submitted by September 21, 2026, in response to solicitation number 26-0073-LB, which was posted on August 10, 2026. The contract is open to certified and experienced providers with demonstrated capability in baggage handling system services, and performance will take place entirely at the airport in Fort Myers, Florida.
