The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), has awarded a sole source contract to operate the Tongue Point Job Corps Center. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements). Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential, and career technical training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantaged youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. The requirement is for the operation of the Tongue Point Job Corps Center located in Astoria, Oregon. The anticipated period of performance is one year. The requirement includes the provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, career development training, and related support services for an estimated total of 473 students (262 residential male, 211 residential female, and 0 non-residential). The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students as applicable. This is a notice of sole source contract award. No responses to this notice are anticipated.
