Full Description

Opioid Settlement funds are appropriated in the state budget each year so are awarded on a state fiscal year cycle (starting July 1). All submitted applications will be reviewed by members of Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee. Committee members will be asked to vote as to whether each proposal should be further considered. Applicants who receive majority support from OSAC members will be asked to submit a detailed budget and to attend an OSAC meeting between October and December 2024 to present their proposal in more detail. Final decisions on what proposals to recommend for funding will be based on OSAC input and the amount of funding available. Recommendations will be formally submitted to the Legislature in January 2025 for consideration in the fiscal year 2026 state budget process.
