The USDA, Agricultural Research Service in Albany, California has a requirement for maintenance support on an Orbitrap Elite OTELITE-10000 mass spectrometer and LTQ Orbitrap XL ETD Hybrid Upgrade; the maintenance support plan includes on-site service, repair parts, and software updates and revisions. The Government intends to negotiate with the only known responsible source, Thermo Electron North America, in providing maintenance and service support for the Orbitrap OTELITE-10000 and LTQ Orbitrap XL ETD Hybrid Upgrade. Justification for this award is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A solicitation is not available for this notice.
