AI Contract Overview
This solicitation seeks to establish a contract for the purchase of two armored 2026 Chevrolet Suburban LT vehicles equipped with IAC Armoring level B6+ Gold Armoring Packages for the Executive Protection Unit of the Ohio Department of Public Safety. These vehicles are intended for the daily transportation of the Governor, First Lady, Lieutenant Governor, and other dignitaries. The procurement allows for brand name or approved equal specifications, requiring bidders to provide detailed written justification for any alternate items offered. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the total cost of mandatory items. While delivery and shipping are listed as optional items, they will not be factored into the evaluation or award determination. Recent amendments to the solicitation have extended the inquiry period and closing date, introduced additional optional payment terms, and separated vehicle costs to allow for inspections in Central Ohio. All bids must be submitted through the OhioBuys Supplier Portal by the specified deadline.
