NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER. NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Subpart 13.5 to FEI Company, DUNS 099141541, 5350 NE Dawson Creek Drive, Hillsboro, OR, 97124-5793. The proposed contract action is for the annual maintenance and support of the exiting Osiris Tecnai Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
