Each year, the National Combat Ration Program (NCRP) produces Individual Meal Pouches (IMP) that are used for training exercises, deployed operations or in emergency situations when the use of fresh rations is not possible. The IMPs consist of various food and non-food items packaged in an overwrap bag. The IMP components are shipped to the Assembler whose task consists of inserting all the individual components inside the overwrap. All combat ration component Contracts state a specific delivery period to ensure timely receipt and inspection of all components. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure there is sufficient product to sustain the first assembly period and maintain the assembly line. The intent of this solicitation is to award one (1) contract for the requirements listed in Annex A, Statement of Requirement.
