The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support in Philadelphia is preparing to consolidate its requirements for Oxygen Mask Light assembly items under a single Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This contract will cover three specific part-numbered items, all exclusively available from Gentex Corporation. The items include the Mask Light Assembly, External Assembly for Mask Light, and Internal Assembly for Mask Light, each identified by their National Stock Numbers (NSNs). The procurement will be conducted using a sole source justification under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, citing that Gentex is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the agency’s needs, thereby limiting competition to this single vendor. This consolidation strategy aligns with FAR 7.107 and is justified as it provides significant advantages over alternative acquisition methods. The decision to consolidate is intended to streamline procurement, improve efficiency, and meet mission requirements effectively. The solicitation for this contract is anticipated to be released around November 8, 2024, with a seven-day period prior for availability and feedback. The contract falls under the NAICS code 335999 and will be managed by DLA Troop Support’s office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For additional information or inquiries, Tamika Hines is the designated point of contact.
