The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a contract modification with The Boeing Company for the P-8A SDD Part II Software and Hardware Changes. This effort involves the research, development, testing, and implementation of updates to the P-8A system that fall outside the scope of the current contract, aimed at improving aircraft performance based on operational use and prior testing. The project will be structured as a cost-reimbursement contract. Due to Boeing's role as the sole designer, developer, and integrator of the P-8A SDD airframe and avionics, the government is pursuing this procurement on a non-competitive basis. While this notice is not a request for proposals, interested parties may submit capability information to the government for review. Subcontracting opportunities are managed directly through Boeing.
