Full Description

This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Packing and Crating at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB), MA prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Hanscom AFB is requesting a quote for 1 shipment for Inbound Service: Item 15 ( Complete Service Inbound Household Goods) Service must include drayagefrom contractor's facility to storage warehouses, air and surface transportation terminals, military installation shipping offices and ocean or river terminals/piers and return, unloading from the delivering carrier's vehicle, handling into contractor's facility, drayage to member's/employee's residence, decontainerization and unpacking of loaded containers of HHG and placing goods in rooms as directed by member/employee, unservicing appliances, assembly of any disassembled articles and removing shipping containers, barrels, boxes/crates, and debris from member's/employee's residence and drayage of empty containers to contractor's or Government facility. Item 23 (Storage) Storage of containerized articles must be furnished when ordered. Charges under this item must not commence earlier than the sixth workday following date of contractor's notification to the transportation officer of arrival of shipment. Storage charges apply for each 30-day period of fraction thereof. Date released from storage must not be considered in computation of storage charges. This message constitutes an oral solicitation for a firm fixed price purchase. The Government reserves the right to award all, some or none of the contained line item. Please provide a unit price quote for 94 CWT Inbound Services for both items listed above. Please also include the fuel surcharge. The destination will be 465 Landing Rd North, Rochester, NY 14627. Quotes are due no later than 6 May 2013 at 12:00PM Eastern Time. Please fill out attached bid sheet. All questions due no later than 3:30 on 2 May 2013.
