Packing, Containerization and Local Drayage Service

The Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Benning, Georgia, is soliciting services under contract W911SF_26_Q_A0030003 to provide comprehensive packing, containerization, and local drayage services for Department of Defense personnel’s household goods. The contractor is responsible for all aspects of preparation including packing, labeling, containerization, and transportation of personal property to and from designated facilities, with operations centered at the Central Receiving Point at 6883 Ivey Road, Building 9057. All services must adhere to strict packaging and marking standards outlined in MIL-STD-129, ASTM specifications, and USDA requirements for wood packaging, which mandates heat-treated materials with ALSC stamps and prohibits methyl bromide fumigation. Containers must be clearly marked with permanent stenciling including “US PROPERTY,” “DPM,” “USE NO HOOKS,” “STORE UNDER COVER,” and the service member’s last name, with all shipments requiring accurate Military Shipping Labels containing barcoded Transportation Control Numbers and other mandated data elements. Performance must maintain a quality standard of no more than 3% incorrectly packed or loaded shipments and no more than 5% delays in pickup or delivery per month, with 100% accuracy required in stenciling and routing.
