The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Parata Systems, LLC, 2600 Meridian Parkway, Suite 100, Durham, NC 27713 for PacMed paper and printer ribbon to be utilized with the PacMed 208 Unit Dose Machine located at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. The required supplies shall be compatible with the PacMed 208 System, including server and software. The specific size required is 75 mm x 70 mm. The unit dose system was procured on a multiple year equipment lease to ownership plan (LTOP) agreement which consisted of a base year and four option years. The USMCFP Springfield has exercised the option to purchase the equipment. The above supplies are required for operation of the equipment. Estimated quantities required are as follows: H103, PacMed paper, 6 rolls per case - 63 cases per year and H105, PacMed print ribbon, 12 rolls per case - 32 cases per year. The procurement will be a firm-fixed priced purchase order for the anticipated period of October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside and FOB destination. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response deadline detailed in the FBO Posting. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will solely be at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Parata Systems, LLC. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts.
