Full Description

The 911th Airlift Wing intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price order to Systems Technology, Inc., for an upgrade of the Parachute Simulator System (PARASIM). The System is currently utilized at the 911th Airlift Wing, Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Coraopolis, PA 15108, which was designed, developed and installed by Systems Technology, Inc. No other product will interface. This procurement is being issued using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13. The authority for sole source procurement is cited at FAR 13.106-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be available. Firms that believe that it can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the publication dated of this notice. Reference Number is FA6712-14-T-0002. This requirement is set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System code is 333318, with a business size standard of 1,000 employees. CONTRACT LINE ITEM NUMBERS: CLIN 0001: System upgrade from PARASIM v2.5 to version 5. Includes simulation computer with PARASIM v5 software pre-installed and configured, high performance graphics cars, interface card, keyboard, mouse and joystick. Upgrade of all software features and options on existing system. Requires fully functional PARASIM v2.5 Simulation System and Software Authorization Key. On-site installation included. CLIN 0002: Annual software support for PARASIM v5 for emergency egress training system with Snap-Fit. Includes technical support via phone, fax and email, bug fixes, software updates with Major Version release. Includes software support for Malfunctions Software Option. CLIN 0003: High Resolution Head Tracker includes high resolution head tracker for use with VR head-mounted display. CLIN 0004: 2-day site visit for training, repair or install (up to 8 hours daily) on-side service call, assistance by STI technical personnel in CONUS. Travel time included (Airfare, lodging and other travel costs are not included). CLIN 0005: Travel for airfare, lodging, perdiem and incidental travel costs to Pittsburgh IAP ARS, Coraopolis, PA 15108. CLIN 0006: Motorized Vertical Start Frame Add-on, software controlled suspension frame with motorized vertical lift system. Lifts jumper from floor to vertical starting suspension position, lowers jumper to ground at conclusion of simulations. One year STI warranty.
