AI Contract Overview
This contract solicits a Parts Kit for Seal Replacement intended for mechanical equipment, identified by NSN 5330-01-677-5541, with a requirement for one thousand units to be delivered within twenty days after award. The procurement is governed by technical and quality standards referenced from the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with compliance depending on whether the acquisition is simplified or large, and the applicable revision of the master list is determined by the solicitation or award date. Packaging must adhere to DLA-specific guidelines, and any non-accepted supplies must have government identification removed prior to delivery. The use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds is strictly prohibited unless explicitly exempted for functional components such as batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, weapon systems, or NAVSEA-specified chemical reagents; portable devices containing mercury must include shockproof construction and a secondary containment barrier as per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Class I ozone-depleting chemicals are entirely banned from inclusion in delivered items, overriding any conflicting specification requirements, and any substitute chemicals require formal approval unless already authorized. No existing data package is available, requiring the alternate offeror to submit complete technical documentation for both the approved part and any proposed alternative. The solicitation, issued under number SPE7L1-26-T-488N, is managed by the Department of Defense’s Land Supply Chain with a response deadline of May 18, 2026, and the point of contact is Kristina Derry of DLA.
