The C-UAS Program is designed to counter threats posed by unmanned aircraft systems through a comprehensive capability that includes detecting, identifying, monitoring, and tracking UAS, as well as warning operators, disrupting control, seizing devices, or applying reasonable force to disable or destroy them. It aims to protect critical U.S. assets such as DHS facilities, critical infrastructure, and mass gatherings from various nefarious uses of UAS, including intelligence gathering, smuggling of illicit materials, physical attacks, and cyber threats. To fulfill its mission, the program will leverage an Inter-Agency Agreement with the Defense Technical Information Center to procure Passive Radio Frequency Data as a Service, specifically for operations in the Rio Grande Valley West area of Texas. The acquisition strategy centers on this Inter-Agency Agreement with DTIC to access necessary passive RF data capabilities vital for the detection and mitigation functions of the C-UAS system. The contract falls under the NAICS classification 334511, reflecting its focus on radio and wireless communications equipment. The effort is managed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, part of the Department of Homeland Security, with designated contacts available for program and small business inquiries. The location for performance emphasizes monitoring in the Rio Grande Valley region, supporting border and homeland security operations.
