AI Contract Overview
Grand County, Utah, is soliciting proposals for pavement preservation and maintenance on approximately 10.5 miles of paved pathways across the Moab Canyon, Colorado River, and Lions Park perimeter corridors. The scope of work includes crack sealing, wide-crack mastic repair, surface preparation, two applications of seal coat with a traction agent for an estimated 800,000 square feet, and full pavement striping, including concrete sections. The successful contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and traffic control necessary to complete the project. All pricing must be submitted as Not-to-Exceed amounts. The project is subject to strict environmental and operational constraints, as the pathways are adjacent to land managed by Arches National Park and the Utah Division of Natural Resources. Consequently, all activities, including equipment staging and parking, are prohibited off the paved surfaces without written authorization. Work is restricted to daylight hours from Monday through Friday, with no weekend work permitted. Award selection will be based on a combination of demonstrated qualifications, comparable experience, technical approach, proposed schedule, and total project cost. Contractors are strongly encouraged to perform site inspections and must adhere to the Utah APWA Manual of Standard Specifications, with a preference for Maxwell Products for sealing and mastic repairs.
