Pavement Marking

The Township of Mapleton is soliciting proposals under RFP 2026-12 for comprehensive pavement marking services for the 2027 construction season, with the option for two additional one-year extensions through 2029. The scope of work includes existing centreline pavement re-marking of approximately 100,000 metres, parking lot lines and on-street parking spaces totaling 5,000 metres, and the installation of 10 accessibility symbols. The contractor must provide all necessary labour, equipment, and materials, adhering to OPSS.MUNI 710, OPSS.MUNI 180, and OTM Book 11 standards, using water-borne traffic paint and reflectorizing glass beads listed on the MTO Designated Source of Materials list. Proposals must be submitted electronically by October 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM, following a strict two-envelope process where cost proposals are submitted separately from technical requirements to avoid disqualification. Award selection is based on the highest total score, evaluating company experience from the last eight years, resource capacity, and technical quality before reviewing costs. The successful contractor must provide Commercial General Liability Insurance, a WSIB Clearance Certificate, and comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Payments are processed monthly via Electronic Funds Transfer within thirty days of a successful final inspection and receipt of an accurate invoice.
