The Canyons School District has issued a Request for Bid (RFB) to secure qualified contractors for paving and asphalt services, with the goal of establishing a contractual relationship that initially lasts one year, with the possibility of four additional annual extensions at the district’s discretion. The project scope encompasses providing all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and transportation to restore or repair existing pavement and related improvements in accordance with applicable regulations. Bidders must meet specific eligibility criteria, including proper licensing in Utah, a minimum of five years’ experience in commercial asphalt and paving, and adherence to district insurance and labor compliance standards. All responses are to be submitted electronically via Ion Wave, with procurement inquiries also managed through this platform. The contract size is estimated to range between $500,000 and $2,000,000, and the district emphasizes transparency and compliance with standard terms and conditions, including insurance, legal, and safety requirements. Bidders are required to submit references demonstrating past performance, particularly with similar institutions like school districts, and complete certifications related to public contract boycott restrictions, affirming they do not engage in boycotts against Israel or other economic boycotts. The district’s procurement process is structured to ensure competitive bidding, with detailed instructions, evaluation criteria, and deadlines provided to facilitate fair and thorough consideration of proposals. The overarching aim is to secure reliable, experienced contractors capable of delivering quality paving and asphalt repair services throughout the district’s facilities.
