Full Description

The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest intends to award a Sole Source contract to Rapid-Span Structures Ltd, 1145 Industrial Drive, Armstrong, B.C., Canada for a one prefabricated bridge section of approximately 35 feet, along with the rearrangement and revisions to 8 sections (183 feet total) previously supplied by Rapid-Span Structures Ltd., in order to adjust the old bridge to fit a new location. This will be sole-source procurement because of the proprietary nature of the previous design and supply. The Solicitation Number is AG-05M6-S-09-0096. The procurement is considered to be a commercial item and is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification System code is 332312 with a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. F.O.B. is the Darrington Ranger Station with delivery by June 1, 2010. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. However, all quotations received by 3:00 pm September 14, 2009 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
