Solicitation # 1000264764
This procurement is reserved exclusively for Inuit-owned businesses registered on the Inuit Firm Registry under the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, ensuring that economic opportunities are directed toward beneficiary communities. The requirement is for snow removal and sanding services at designated Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada properties in Iqaluit, Nunavut, including a parking lot, three staff house driveways, and the Tundra Buddies Daycare building, with the contractor responsible for maintaining safe vehicle and pedestrian access, monitoring weather conditions, applying sand as needed, and ensuring all equipment is transported to and from the sites. The contractor assumes full liability for any damage caused during service operations and must adhere to the specified service areas without ambiguity regarding boundaries. The contract is scheduled to begin upon award and extend through March 31, 2029, with the possibility of two optional one-year extensions, providing long-term operational stability. Only firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry by the offer closing date of September 17, 2026, are eligible to bid, and no trade agreements apply due to the procurement being set aside for Indigenous beneficiaries under Canadian law. There are no security clearance requirements, and the solicitation is administered by the Government of Canada through the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, with Karen Mezher serving as the primary contracting authority for inquiries or submission details.
