Alternatively, applicants can propose to purchase existing multi-family properties to convert them into supportive housing units. Each apartment or unit will have kitchen facilities or access to kitchen facilities, bathroom, and storage for tenant clothing and personal items.  Project Readiness When the application is submitted, the expectation is that the project being proposed is near “shovel readiness.” The City is expecting that the project has all elements in place so that construction can begin soon after any funding award.
