To install a metal, chain-link cross levee fence (CLF) up and over the levee and recessed stairs with railing on the landside of the levee. The fence will have 6-foot-high by 8-foot-wide sections on both slopes. The waterside slope will be approximately 77 feet in length with 11 removable sections and the landside slope will be approximately 36 feet in length consisting of 6 sections that are not removable. The project includes a 14-foot-wide double-leaf gate across the levee crown for vehicle access, 8 concrete steps on the waterside slope and 26 concrete steps on the landside slope, each 36-inches wide, with an adjacent 6-inchwide concrete curb, all flush with the levee slope, a metal handrail on the landside levee slope, a 36-inches by 12-inches concrete landing at the top and bottom of the stairs. The maximum excavation depth for the stairs on the slope will be 12 inches. The posts for the CLF will be embedded 18 inches below the crown and slope.
