Permit No. 19916 – Nadal Cross Levee Fence Project

The project involves installing a metal chain link cross-levee fence along both slopes of a levee, with six-foot-high by eight-foot-wide sections on each side. The waterside slope, approximately fifty feet long, will feature seven removable fence sections, while the landside slope, about thirty feet long, will have five permanent sections. A fourteen-foot-wide double-leaf gate will be placed across the levee crown to allow vehicle access. On the landside, a set of thirty-three concrete stairs, each thirty-six inches wide, will be constructed with a flush six-inch-wide concrete curb along the edge, and a metal handrail will be installed alongside the stairs. Concrete landings, measuring thirty-six inches by forty-two inches, will be provided at both the top and bottom of the staircase. Excavation for the stairs will not exceed twelve inches in depth. All fence posts will be embedded eighteen inches below the levee crown and slope surfaces to ensure structural stability and compliance with design requirements.
