PGAS Building F Demolition And Utility Relocation

Bid #MD-086: This project involves the demolition of Building F and the relocation of associated utilities at the Pacific Grove Adult School. Key work items include rerouting electrical, gas, fire alarm, and fiber optic utilities, which must be completed during the district's winter break (December 19 to January 3). Following utility transfers, Building F will be demolished, and fire alarm notification appliances in Building E will be replaced. The contractor is responsible for all labor, tools, equipment, and materials, as well as coordinating with other project stakeholders. The site is occupied, requiring all contractor and subcontractor personnel to undergo fingerprinting. Hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead paint are present; the owner will handle their removal under a separate contract, but the contractor must comply with Cal OSHA lead standards for any renovation work impacting painted surfaces. Demolished materials must be separated for recycling (concrete, steel/metals).
