National Institute of Health, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Suite 106, Bethesda, Maryland 20892 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Vidara Therapeutics, Inc., 1000 Holcomb Woods Parkway, Suite 270, Roswell, GA 30076, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other pharmaceutical drug will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for Actimmune vials eighty (80) boxes. These vials are currently being used in research protocols for patient's research studies. The drug is no longer available through distributors and solely manufactured and owned by Vidara Therapeutics, Inc. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to the synopsis and submitting written capabilities/specifications to Ms. Diania Robinson, Contract Specialist at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received by 10:00 a.m., December 16, 2013 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
