Please note that late submissions will not be considered or accepted. This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process: the first phase will evaluate the interest of suppliers; the second phase (Phase Two) will invite the suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The qualification list will expire within 60 days or upon award of a contract in Phase Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation. Work of this Contract comprises general construction and upgrades to Building C16 at Stony Mountain Institute (SMI). Building C16, with an overall floor area 2446 sq meters over 3 floors, provides programs to inmates. The upgrades include, but are not limited to:1. HVAC system replacement including air handling units, condensing units and hydronic heating system, 2. HVAC control system and connection to the Powerhouse, 3. Lighting and lighting control replacement, 4. Fire Alarm system installation and connection to the facility’s system, 5. Public Address replacement, 6. Modifications to the Power distribution system,7. New magnetic fire door locks. The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within Forty (40) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
