The work of this contract will encompass the upgrade of the pumphouse and salter intakes at the Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Pacific Science Enterprise Centre (PSEC) facility.
Work under this Contract comprises general construction of: Three (3) new saltwater intakesA new intake manifold on the foreshore to combine the three intakes into two (2) supply (or “inlet”) pipes before the marine intake pumphouseTwo (2) vertical turbine pumps to replace the existing pumps installed within the existing sump manhole of the existing pumphouse, which connect to the two incoming supply pipesIntegration and re-connection of all existing pipes, associated electrical and control conduits and connections , including the municipal water flushing lines that connect to the intakes prior to entering the pumphouse, piping and fittings associated with the pumps, existing drainage infrastructure surrounding the pumphouse and intake area, and electrical conduits on the south wall of the pumphouse.
